Using nonstandard English can make your writing seem as though it was written by an uneducated person.

Understanding the basic grammar rules is essential for communicating efficiently, but most of us have forgotten those concepts years ago. Grammar is very important, no matter how much the rules change, as it is what makes it possible for us all to communicate and understand what we see, and what we say.
