Prayer is an opportunity to spend time with God. To really understand the heart of God, you need to pray. One most important reason to pray is because God has commanded us to pray. If we are to be obedient to his will, then prayer must be part of our life in Him.

मैं मूर्ति पूजा में विश्वास नहीं रखता| मेरा किसी की भावनाओं को ठेस पहुँचाने का कतई मकसद नहीं है| मैं किसी मूर्ति पर लीटरों दूध बहा देने को व्यर्थ मानता हूं,| लेकिन फिर भी मेरे घर के एक हिस्से में आपको कुछ तस्वीरें मिलेंगी। मैं सुबह उठकर उन तस्वीरों के सामने अगरबत्ती जलाता हूँ और prayer करता हूँ। इसलिए नहीं कि इससे मेरा दिन अच्छा हो जाएगा बल्कि मुझे विश्वास है कि इससे मेरा दिन अच्छा होगा ही। मैं चर्च, मंदिर, गुरुद्वारे भी जाता हूँ लेकिन इसलिए नहीं कि वहां जाने से संकट के समय कोई मेरी मदद कर देगा बल्कि इसलिए कि वहां का माहौल मुझे बहुत अच्छा लगता है, मुझे वहां से सकारात्मक ऊर्जा मिलती है।

In the midst of our busy lives, we don’t pray or don’t pray enough or we only pray about the most pressing issues and neglect to take the time to really get close to God, to know him better and to share with him the deepest longings of our heart. We shut off the way by which He brings blessings into out lives.

Prayer is the way which brings you closer to God:

Communication is the key to success, In any relationship. When you communicate, you are able to know more about a person. Is it not true? This also applies to your relationship with God. Through talking to God, we learn more about who he is and God know about us. We need to pray each day individual or with family. It’s the only way we can lead a life of intimacy with God.

Prayer allows us to worship and praise the Lord. It allows us to offer confession of our sins. Moreover, prayer grants us the opportunity to present our requests to God. He cares for us and wants to commune with us through prayer. Humility is virtue God desires in us. Prayer reminds us that we are not in control, but God is, thus keeping us from pride.

Praying is not the way to seek but the way to take positive energy from God.

Some simple Prayers:

Getting children on the habit of praying these simple prayers at morning, before meals and before bed.

Morning Prayer:

“Dear God, as I rise this morning, I thank you for a restful night and the gift of a new day. Guide me as I walk through this day. I am grateful for all the blessings in my life. As I start my day, I trust you to guide me in everything I do. Amen.”

Before meals:

“God is good. Let us thank Him for our food. By His hands we are fed. Provide us with our daily bread. Amen.”

Bedtime Prayer:

“Father, thank you for your blessings today. Thank you for taking good care of me and my family. Protect us throughout the night. Amen.”
